Offerit allows you to set up phone based offers in addition to your web based offers. Currently we are integrated with CallPixels to supply the phone numbers for the affiliate phone campaigns.Contents
Sign up at CallPixels
To start setting up phone offers in Offerit, you must first sign up at CallPixels (www.callpixels.com). Their signup is free and includes an initial $5 credit for testing your installation. Once you are signed up, you can create your first campaign by going to http://callpixels.com/campaigns and clicking 'new'. A 'Campaign' at Callpixels corresponds with an 'offer' in Offerit.
Fill out the form, leaving 'Affiliate mgmt' unchecked and leaving 'Localization' and 'Network Timers' unchanged for now. Copy the 'Campaign ID' that you entered and save it for later. We will use it when we set up our offer in Offerit.
The last thing we need to do here before adding our offer to Offerit is grab our API key. Click on your name in the far top right of the screen, and choose 'My Account'. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it says 'API Access' and click 'Show'. Copy your API Key and save it for later.
Offerit Setup
Now open up your Offerit Admin Interface, and go to the Offers Admin. Choose 'Add Phone Offer' from the menu on the left side of the screen. Type in the Name of the offer, choose 'CallPixels' as your integration, and paste the API key that we copied earlier in to the 'Phone API Id' field.
Post the 'Campaign ID' that you copied earlier into the Phone Offer Id field, and click 'Validate Phone Details'. This will bring up a window displaying the fields you just entered, and the option to 'Cancel' or 'Test'. If you see that the values are incorrect, hit Cancel and correct them. Once they are correct, choose 'Test'. This check confirms that Offerit is able to Connect to the CallPixels API and can locate this offer as a CallPixels campaign.
If your test is successful, you can continue setting up your phone offer. If your test is unsuccessful, please put in a support request at support.offerit.com and we will be happy to assist with the CallPixels setup.
We recommend setting Phone Offers as Private and Requestable. When an affiliate sends a request for a particular offer, there will be a link to automatically generate a phone number for that affiliate.
Hour and State Limitations
Phone offers have an extra configuration option that regular offers do not -- you can specify the time zone for your offer, and configure Offerit to restrict payments for affiliates to phone calls during only allowed hours. If you do not choose any hours, all hours will be allowed.
Similarly, you can restrict payments for phone calls originating in certain states. If you do not choose any states, all stats will be allowed.
Affiliates will see the applicable payment restrictions when they view the offer. If a non-paying call or conversion takes place, the affiliate will see that the phone call took place, and that they were not paid for it. If the affiliate looks at the call details they will see the details specifying that the call time / state was not allowed.
Once you add the offer, click 'Build Offer Pixel' on the offer added page. The value of 'Phone Call Timer' goes in @ connect call:
The value of 'Phone Conversion Timer' Goes in your second timer. You need to choose how many seconds qualify as a phone conversion.
If you are only using Offerit with this Callpixels account, you can go to your company page (http://callpixels.com/company), click 'edit', and enter the 'Phone Call Timer' value as your Default click url. The 'Phone Conversion Timer' value will be the Default sale url.
Generate Numbers for Affiliates
To manually generate numbers for individual affiliates, go to the affiliates admin and click on the phone icon for that affiliate. This will take you to a page with a list of all the phone offers, and the current phone number (if there is one) associated with the affiliate for each offer. If the affiliate has created multiple campaigns for the same offer, you will see an entry for each campaign and the option to sync/create a number for that campaign.
