Automatic Traffic Tags (autotags) are a feature in Offerit that gives Affiliates the option to automatically categorize their referral statistics by traffic tag. This allows affiliates to break down their referral statistics by whatever traffic tag they wish to use, allowing for a great deal of flexibility in sorting and analyzing referral statistics.
This can be done by appending the following parameter to a referral linkcode:
?autocamp=traffic_tag
Replace "traffic_tag" in the URL with your preferred traffic tag name. If you input a traffic tag name that does not yet exist, Offerit will automatically create a traffic tag with that name. A traffic tag name can contain up to 64 characters, and must consist of only letters and numbers.
Adding Traffic Tags
Offerit offers the ability to use a comma-separated list of traffic tags to separate one traffic tag. By adding the desired traffic tags to the autocamp variable in the URL, affiliates can override the currently set traffic tag to use a traffic tag made up of the chosen traffic tags. This feature also offers compatibility with single-tag traffic tags, so you do not necessarily have to split up your traffic tags with multiple traffic tags.
To override your traffic tag, just add the following parameter with a comma-separated list of traffic tags to a referral linkcode:
?autocamp=traffic_tag_group,tag1,tag2
Replace "traffic_tag_group,tag1,tag2" in the URL with a comma-separated list of traffic tags that make up the traffic tag with which the current traffic tag will be overridden.
Autotags
In addition, Offerit also offers the autotags feature, which allows affiliates to add new traffic tags to an existing traffic tag on the fly. For example, you may want to add the banner traffic tag to your traffic tag, which uses top and blog. By using the "autotags" feature, you can add that tag to create the top, blog, banner traffic tag on the fly.
To use "autotags", just append the following parameter to a referral linkcode:
?autotags=tag1,tag2,tag3
Replace "tag1,tag2,tag3" in the URL with a comma-separated list of your preferred traffic tags. If you input a traffic tag name that does not yet exist, Offerit will automatically create tags with those names.
